Joseph Cirillo, of Niagara Falls, pled guilty in October 2009 to seven counts of failing to file corporate income tax returns. He was fined $1,000 for each count. A CRA investigation showed that Cirillo failed to file corporate tax returns as the director of Done-Rite Paving Co Ltd and as the director of 1602013 Ontario Inc. In a recent news release, the BBB is warning people about paving scams, and one company in particular that has done work in the Niagara Region, Peninsula Paving & Concrete, also known as Done-Rite Paving. In this scam, the quality of asphalt is often inferior. By the time the client realizes there's a problem, the crew is long gone and unavailable.

This company is using the BBB Logo fraudulently and has already been issued a WARNING from a lawyer, another is on its way, this time charges will be laid, said a spokesperson. The BBB says they have a long history of complaints with Done-Rite Paving, and the company has changed names last June, 2010, with complaints starting almost immediately.
The bureau gives this company an "F" rating for "failure to respond, pattern of complaints and number of complaints filed against the business."
Five complaints have been filed in the last 5 months with the BBB.
