AIKIDO - "THE WAY OF HARMONY" Aikido Yoshinkan is a non-competitive Japanese Martial Art of self-defense that is based on non-resistance rather than strength. It's roots come from the ancient Samurai warrior, and the movements of the sword. An attack is never stopped; it is met and guided in a way that causes the attacker to be thrown or taken down by the directional force of their own energy. In addition to, hand to hand techniques, the Aikido Seikokan Dojo is also complimented by three traditional Japanese Weapons; the Bokken (wooden sword), the Jo (wooden staff), and the Tanto (wooden knife).
