I took my boat here in September 2013. It was supposed to be a winter project to rebuild one of the engines in my 99 Seadoo Challenger but turned out to be a winter, spring and summer project as I got it back well into June 2014. I never once received a phone call explaining why it was taking so long. Instead, I was always calling them. Most times they would take a message and not call back. When I finally got it back they explained that there was some sand in the motor that froze during the winter and plugged the jet in the cylinder causing it to overheat and crack the cylinder. I asked, if there was sand in one motor maybe they should check the other motor as my boat has 2 motors. They said it's running fine and not to worry about it. 8 rides later the other motor seized. SURPRIZE!!!!! I called them and they said they could rebuild it as a winter project again. LMAO no thanks. I had a friend pull the motor for $105, courriered it with Roseneau transport for $80 to Precise engine rebuilders in Saskatoon and they had it apart within a day. No fooling around! They told me exactly what happened to it and turn around time is 2 weeks, not 10 months. They said it could have been caused by the other motor but not definite. The nice part is that I didn't have to call them. Unlike Mark's Marine they were very polite and anxious to do the work. I will never go to Mark's Marine again. If anyone out there needs a boat motor rebuilt I would suggest doing as I did and send it to Precise engine in Saskatoon.
No, I would NOT recommend this business to a friend
