Excellent, professional foot care for our patients is the commitment of each member of the B.C. Association of Podiatrists. As doctors specializing in the health and function of the foot, we must complete comprehensive medical and surgical education before we practice. Our education gives us specialized knowledge and, with other members of the health care team, we provide this expertise for our patients. We use a total foot care approach when recommending strategies to our patients. We work with our patients to provide foot care that responds to their lifestyle, mobility and overall health. We provide evaluation, diagnosis, treatment plans, surgery as necessary and ongoing consultation to our patients in all age groups. Each patient benefits from an individualized approach and specialized treatment. We believe in sharing our expertise and information with our patients so they make informed choices about the health of their feet. We are also dedicated to public education programs that focus on foot health and its positive impact on wellness. We keep our knowledge and skills up to date through mandatory continuing medical education for all members of the Association. We participate in professional development activities that ensure medical practice excellence, foot health awareness and a high level of service for our patients. The B.C.
