Are your lashes short and sparse? Are they faint and difficult to even see because of your light complexion? We have the answer. Blu Ivy Medi Spa also includes eyelash extensions on its extensive list of available treatments. This is a practice that gives length, thickness and fullness to natural eyelashes. The method we use for these extensions is by applying individual, one-by-one extensions to the base of each individual eyelash. It’s no surprise that these treatments last anywhere from an hour and a half to two hours. Our photofacial treatments are likely one of the most popular treatments practiced here at Blu Ivy Medi Spa. A photofacial is a 30-minute procedure in which intense pulses of light (IPL) are used to penetrate deep into the skin, erasing any signs of hyperpigmentation. After your 30-minute treatment, your skin may feel sunburnt and sensitive for a few hours. We would advise you to stay out of the sun and wear a hat during this time. For one to three days after the “burn” or “redness”, the outer layer of the epidermis will have a very thin scale texture and will soon flake away. This entire process takes up to a week. IPL treatments may also be given to your hands, neck, chest, arms, or anywhere you feel needs a little brightening. Is your skin lacking the life and vivacity it one had? A single juvederm treatment may benefit you greatly. Juvéderm is an injectable filler used to soften deep folds and reduce wrinkles in the faces of patients. The substance is largely hyaluronic acid, a substance normally found in the skin, muscles, and tendons of mammals. A juvederm treatment may last for four to six months, but it depends entirely on the individual and how fast your body metabolizes. Carboxytherapy is also a popular treatment performed here at our medispa. It uses carbon dioxide gas for therapeutic purposes. Carbon dioxide is the gas that gives carbonated beverages their “bubbles.” Carboxytherapy is a non-surgical cosmetic medicine treatment that injects gaseous carbon dioxide below the skin into the subcutaneous tissue through a needle. If you are tired of shaving and often forget to do it, we offer hair removal treatments by use of lasers. Each treatment time can vary considerably depending on the size of the area treated. A small area such as the upper lip may take only five minutes, while a larger area like the back or legs may take up to one hour. Laser hair removal will only work on hair that is still growing, so we recommend four to six treatments.
