Anyone with asthma, migraines, allergies, mcs, environmental illness or otherwise sensitive, knows how hard it is to find a scent-free hotel! I had phoned every other place in town and they were all scented, which is just not safe for me. This place was my last phone call (alphabetically, you see) so we were overjoyed to find out that it uses unscented linens and uses no room scents! Not only that- they have kitchenettes so if you want to cook for yourself you have that option... amazing for such a low price. The mattress and pillows were INCREDIBLY comfortable. We slept like logs! I can't say how quiet it would be if the place was full because we went through in winter, & the rooms next to us were empty. It is not glamorous. The carpet and walls are a bit stained (actually safer for us sensitive people than fresh paint & new flooring though!) which I notice some people are quite harsh about on other review sites. But who trusts ANY hotel walls or carpet to be perfectly sanitary anyway, even if it looks clean to the eye? The important areas; the things you touch (bed, bathroom, kitchenette) were extremely clean, & that is what matters. If you require gleaming, new everything, well no, I guess this place is not the right choice for you. If you want clean, comfy, affordable lodging and safe, unpolluted air, you will love the Yorke Inn!-
