Friends of Fish Creek

The Friends of Fish Creek Provincial Park Society is a registered Canadian charity based out of Fish Creek Provincial Park in Calgary Alberta. The Friends’ office is located in the Cookhouse at the historical Bow Valley Ranch area of Fish Creek Provincial Park. The Friends of Fish Creek hosts volunteer programs like Park Watch, Invasive Species Removal, Riparian Restoration and youth Nature programs, activities like programs such as Wellness, park tours and a Birding Course, and educational events like Parks Day & Creekfest in July and monthly Fish Creek Speaker Series presentations. This group was first formed in 1992 and became a registered charity in 1994. In 2017, the Friends had 875 members and work with Fish Creek Provincial Park Management and a variety of community organizations. Vision Statement: A sustainable Fish Creek Provincial Park that improves the quality of life for present and future generations.
