We agreed to have “A Family of Trades” complete some work for a basement renovation (framing, drywall, electrical) and were treated like a side-job. Did not coordinate “employees”; left that to us. “Employees” is in quotes, as EVERY SINGLE WORKER had a full time job elsewhere and completed our work in their spare time. It took 2 months for something that should have taken 2 weeks at most. His own worker said “it’s scabby, but it will do.” Said would “make things right.” Didn’t show up on scheduled date. Tried to get us to go with someone else as he was overbooked, but work wasn’t done properly so it would have cost us more money to go with someone else. I can’t even begin to describe the mess that was made. We had to call them to come back on multiple occasions. Ended up cleaning/re-sanding the entire basement OURSELVES. The entire time, we consistently asked them to step up. We advised him every step of the way in terms of our expectations and disappointment with what was happening and were LITERALLY IGNORED. Then there were 2 different invoices (with different numbers), on which the terms were different (and had changed multiple times over the duration of our renovation), along with some mysterious additional charges we had to dispute. NEVER AGAIN.
No, I would NOT recommend this business to a friend
