INFRARED SERVICES In addition to the complete line of parking lot maintenance services, we offer “The Ultimate Asphalt Repair”, our unique seamless Infrared Restoration System. A typical infrared seamless repair consists of heating and combining the damaged asphalt with new asphalt mix. Infrared uses “invisible” heat (intense infrared wavelengths that reach temperatures exceeding 400 degrees Fahrenheit) to penetrate the surface of the existing asphalt, and heat it to a depth necessary to return it to a pliable state for surface preparation and repair. Asphalt rejuvenator containing light oils is added to the prepared area. Fresh hot mix asphalt is added to the repair area, brought up to the grade, levelled and then compacted. This process produces a seamless repair. These fused seams don’t allow water to penetrate like the traditional cut and patch repairs do. The inherent characteristics of the asphalt do not change.
