    Great place.
Last June, I, submitted an extremely poor review for the Gold Panner. Since last year the property and business has been purchased by a new owner. This facility has done a complete 180 degree turnaround since then. I, am thrilled to see such a change. I would really like to recommend a visit to the new Gold Panner campground and restauraunt. My wife and I will definitely be going back there again, now that Jiri is gone: DaveSheila Wong.
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    Extremely poor
About seven or eight years ago my wife and I had a great experience at this campground because of our congenial hosts. We visited the campground again on Saturday June 13, 2015. We found the business under new ownership. The man and his wife were two of the most rude, and ignorant people we have ever met. A number of the group we met up with had the same complaints we had, and more. We had gone at this time to attend a memorial service for my wife's half sister. There were a significant number of attendees for the service, all of whom had paid to use the campground facilities with the current owners full previous knowledge of the event. Anyone who had any kind of complaint was told very rudely that this is private property, and to leave if we don’t like it. The restaurant is shut down. The museum was only open about two hours during the day. The washrooms we were using had flush toilets, sinks, and a pay shower. These looked reasonably clean for a campsite facility. There was the most disgusting sulphurous stench in the men's side of the washroom, which extended outside for a considerable distance, depending on air movement. I was told that this stench was present all the previous day. The only cause I can think of would be the septic tank. (Is this a health hazard?) There was a boil water advisory posted on the bulletin board at the entrance to the campground. I accidentally saw it about 2 hours after we had arrived. Nobody advised , or gave us any literature when we paid our admission to the facility. There were no posted warnings at the sinks, shower or any of the outside taps that we saw on the grounds. If the owners have such contempt for their customers, I don’t understand why they are in such a business. We will never return to this place again, and will advise all our friends to do the same.
No, I would NOT recommend this business to a friend
