3 day bathroom reno over 5 months and not complete
Our supposed 3 day horrific experience started around July 7th 2014 and ended by refusing to let them back in November 28th 2014 and $8600. We had TilerTech do a complete reno of our bathroom. There are so many issues that I cannot list them all. We had a niche cut in that was redone many times as it was cut wrong and then framed with 1 by 2 white boards and it got worse from there. They had to cut an opening into the vanity back for pipes. It was done with a hand saw. It was a hack job and rigged. This was fixed as I pointed it out. The door trim was cut the same and it was “fixed” but needs replacing. One of many major complaints is out bathroom floor was never leveled. They left a 2 inch gap between the new tub and the sub floor. They simply tucked the lino flooring under the tub and caulked it. We had them back 3 times to fix this. Once to fill the gap on the right, once to fill the gap on the left and because they didn’t remove the caulking and take up the entire length of the tub the floor (lino) is now ripped. We had them in a few times to fix that with no avail. They hired a “professional” they met at home depot the day the professional was to come and replace the floor. Unfortunately he also did a poor job. He did tell us that TilerTECH used double sided tape to put a patch in place when they attempted to fix the floor. Also, you can see the drywall seems, the paint was not Kitchen and Bath until i purchased it myself, none of the fixtures are level, caulking is all thick, ect. Our professional job for $8600 looks like a very amateur tradesmans work. At this point I refused to let me back in. As for customer service and professionalism it is also sorely lacking. Many no shows on scheduled visits, always late, no explanations as to why either. I was told “We will do all we can to try and and achieve your standards of excellence” when all I asked for is a level floor!!! Never cleaned up and painters tape in the toilet (that has clogged and been snaked).
No, I would NOT recommend this business to a friend
