I have started seeing her a couple of years ago, and she was helpful, or at least trying to be (when I needed a specialist who actually REFUSED to see me!). My mom is also Dr. Chiu's patient. _________________________________________________ - Dr. Chiu's office is very busy, but she tries to accommodate as many patients as possible. Yes, the visit will last about 10 minutes but, if you are "prepared" for it, you will get good medical care. List your symptoms and concerns clearly and concisely. Do not come in with a 100 concerns at a time; no doctor can handle that! _________________________________________________ - Wait time can be long. Appointment times do NOT guarantee you will be speaking with your doc at that precise time. If you expect that, then you should also expect your visit will be rushed, and you will be out the door in two minutes. _________________________________________________ - Receptionists are people, too! Be nice to them, and they will be nice right back. Yes, you are ill and feeling crappy, but will it hurt you to smile and say they look nice today? It worked for me each and every time! And don't forget, a person can "hear" a smile one the phone, too. _________________________________________________ - Doctors know a lot, but NOT everything. They are also NOT psychic. If you have questions, ask them. If you are pregnant (and it doesn't show yet), tell them! Do not blame a doctor for not guessing your condition. If you take other medications or supplements, bring the list! _________________________________________________ Well, it is true that my family is looking for a GP that's close to where we live, but that does not mean we are unhappy with Dr. Chiu, our current GP.
