I was told by a friend, Christopher's also performs alterations. I purchased two new trousers that required hemming and waist take-in. I dropped off on a Monday and was told pick up on Friday. I put on the trousers for measurements and did remind the lady no more than 1.5" waist take-in both pairs. I picked up the trousers the following Monday (My fault for being late to pick up). On Wednesday I decide to wear one of the trousers. To my dismay, the trousers were tight on the waist and seat. I checked measurements only to find the waists were each taken in by almost 3". The length was fine. I take them back the same day. With no apology, the lady at Christopher's said it would take 3 days to re-alter. They will contact when ready. 3 days later, I receive no call from Christopher's. I allowed 2 more business days then decided to drop in to pick up. Trousers were ready. I hand the receipt to the lady at the counter. She brings up the trousers and tells me there will be an additional charge for re-alteration. I couldn't believe what I heard. They wanted to charge me an additional $10.50 on top of the $80 I already paid. For their mistake I have to pay extra? It’s not the amount I was outraged with but the principle. The counter lady said she could hold on to the trousers and I can take it up with the owner when they are in next day. Life is too short to argue about nickel and diming & THIEVERY. I paid and told her I will NEVER do business with Christopher's Dry Cleaning and will DEFINITELY let the world know.
No, I would NOT recommend this business to a friend
