    FAULTY PRODUCT
I have over the last 5 years had over 7 transmissions form this vendor fail under warranty, and the last issue has pushed me past the limit.
i had a transmission that was purchased from valley fuel injection and was still under warranty and they would not warranty the transmission, i purchased another and paid for install and was told that i had full warranty, the transmission failed with less that 60,000 km ( warranty is 36 months or 150,000 miles) the truck was taken to a approved repair facility in red deer( this repair facility had been with me through the months of down time on my WORK truck due to there faulty equipment). They sent a new transmission to the repair facility and it was installed, the transmission was failing right out of the box, They proceeded to tell the tranny shop to do hours of work troubleshooting the transmission( Knowing full well what there labor rate is due to the past experience with them fixing there other transmissions) after repeated attempts and 8-12 hrs of labor @ 90.00 hr the transmission was pulled out again and returned to them, they sent another one, it was the wrong transmission and was returned.(Meanwhile this is taking weeks and i cannot work without a truck and they are well aware that this is costing me thousands of dollars), another transmission was sent and it was observed that the Band adjusting nut was already at it maximum adjustment, meaning that the transmission had no more service adjustment that can be made AND AS SOON AS THE ADJUSTMENT IS NEEDED, IT WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BE DONE,this was addressed with the head service guy at BD and the install shop was told that they had to put it in and that they would not send another one out. The transmission was installed and i went to pick up the truck. With the discussions i had while the issues were coming up with them concerning the crazy labor hours that were accumulating on this issue while they were asking the installer to do extra work troubleshooting there problems I was assured that they would cover the extra time and costs taking weeks to rectify the situation and asking the install shop to spend hours troubleshooting a supposed new transmission. I arrived at the transmission shop and was concerned with the transmission that was in the truck not having any adjustment left for the bands, but was told that they would not rectify the situation and that i was stuck with that transmission, i called the dealer and addressed this issue, they said that it was a new transmission and that it just needed a longer bolt for the adjustment screw. I called other transmission shops and was told that that is not how it works, and that there is only so much adjustment that is available and a longer bolt is just a way to cover up a used or faulty transmission, they would not change the offer and they never did send the "longer Bolt" as was stated. When it came time to pay the bill that was over 4000.00 due to the first transmission needing to be pulled out , then another put in, and then 8-12 hours of troubleshooting then it had to be pulled out again, then another put in and troubleshooting again and never addressing the issues and leaving me the customer with a transmission that as soon as there needed to be adjustment had no where to turn setting up premature failure. I called the head service once again( after 10-15 repeated calls over the last weeks) and he told me to send Both invoices to him as he was sitting by the fax waiting and would get RMA( purchase order numbers for them and return), one was for a pull out and be put back in, and the other for all the extra work and labor due to there faulty equipment and requests made by there teck, he proceeded to return the invoices with 2 RMA numbers( meaning a P.O. for them but they call then RMA numbers) told the installed shop that they both would be paid and that he can release my truck to me. ONE MONTH LATER THE INSTALLER( EXCELL TRANSMISSIONS RED DEEER ALBERTA/ MEL)C
No, I would NOT recommend this business to a friend
