The Alexander Technique (AT) is a comprehensive mind-body reeducation that works with mental awareness to facilitate poise, balance and coordination.
The AT allows us to reclaim natural and efficient movement, addressing the root cause of our limitations or problems rather than just the symptoms.
The AT can bring fundamental change to the way we move, think and feel. It can bring a new balance to our lives.
Basic and intelligent psycho-physical principles help us address any daily activity or tackle any endeavor in our lives to the best of our abilities, with less interference from automatic patterns or habits that limit our freedom.
We apply fundamental discoveries of how the mind and body work to every area of our life (from walking, driving, cooking, computing, to playing music, sports, performing, etc).
The AT engages our minds to pay attention, develops sensitivity and awareness of movement and thought and helps us shift from a limited end-gaining goal oriented drive to a more integrated vision and inwardly active role that respects any of the processes we engage in every moment of our lives.
With the AT we learn how:
