Today I was harassed and then rudely asked to leave Snack n Bake by their employee.
I was not making a mess, stealing, causing a commotion, smelly, dirty, wearing strange things or doing weird behavior. I'm a middle aged woman, dressed appropriately, quietly browsing their items for sale.
I simply wrote some of their item names and prices on my grocery list of recipe items, so that I could remember what I wanted to pick up.
I couldn't have been in the store more than 5 minutes and the employee approached me for the SECOND time and this time he said "I couldn't do that."
I asked "what, look at the price of the item I was going to buy" and he said I had to leave the store. So I left.
(Some seriously bizarre behavior.I think some customer service training is in order.or even an overview on how stores generally operate.)
I shop at Covent Garden Market all the time and would stop in there to pick up my bulk items around $60 a month. ($60/month, over the course of a year is $720.
Today in fact I was doing some pre shopping in bulk to make raw organic treat gift baskets for family and friends as a healthy alternative this holiday season.
After they evicted me I went to several other health and bulk stores and purchased a total of $400 in items for groceries and the baskets. (nearly all items snack n bake actually sell.
Dear Snack n Bake, you lost several thousands of dollars in yearly revenue today. a $400 sale today, my on going business which is around $720+ per year and all referrals of friends, family and acquaintances I have or could have referred to that store. Now when they ask me where I purchased those items (which happens quite frequently) I will not say Snack n Bake that's for sure.
Overall, this is sad. It was convenient for me, now I will have to go out of my way to spend money at another store.
Note: the store was EMPTY of customers (unlike the other stores surrounding it) when I entered. Perhaps this strange behavior of the staff running it is why?
No, I would NOT recommend this business to a friend
