Our registered psychotherapists are extensively trained to address the needs of individuals, families, and couples in order to provide solution-focused therapy to address your unique situation. We specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD. ?We welcome clients of all cultures, religions, genders, sexual orientations, and ages, and are proud to provide our services to a diverse and inclusive clientele base. ?Our founder, Zahra Nafar, established YourTherapist to provide quality mental health care in our community and cultivate mental health awareness. ?Zahra is a registered psychotherapist (RPQ). Her academic training includes undergraduate degrees at Carleton University in Computer Science and Mathematics (2004) and Integrated Science (2006). A passion for the human brain led her to her Masters and Ph.D. studies in Neuroscience at the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Medicine in 2007. In 2018, her fascination with human behaviour and psychology culminated in her completion of a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. ?Zahra actively contributes towards enhancing mental health resources for men and women in the fields of Defence, Security, Intelligence (i.e. DND, VAC, RCMP, CSIS, and CSE) and first response.
