By Andrew from HalifaxCanadian Tire Take Advantage of Their CustomersI'm posting as an irritated father of a daughter who was taken advantage of by Canadian Tire in Truro. I will post everywhere and I will post often! Canadian Tire in Truro told my wonderful daughter that it would be 1.5 hrs at $85.00 per hour labour to replace two bad bearings in the front of her car. When it was all said and done, they charged her 3.5 hrs at $85.00 per hour and said to me afterward (when I called) that they were sorry, they forgot to mention that. Worst of it is that based on the receipt timestamps, the whole repair took 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete. I have copies if anyone wants to see them. Were she informed of this at the onset, I know she'd have taken the vehicle to the local mechanic in Truro who quoted her $200.00 plus parts. She felt the $127.50 in labour plus parts was a financially better decision with Canadian Tire. WRONG!!! Thank you Canadian Tire for lying to a woman in distress and taking advantage of her. I guess I can expect nothing less from your Truro location for after having spoken with the GM of that store, I now understand why the staff in the vehicle bay have no respect for anyone. Now they won't go good for the overcharge and the GM stated to me , and I quote, "there's nothing I'm willing to do for you". Wonderful way to treat customers. Good luck to anyone dealing with this Canadian Tire. I'll assuredly avoid them all like the plague and put this message everywhere I'm able. They're going to love me when I put a sign near there store.No, I would NOT recommend this business to a friend
