    Refund...
    So, I finally get a refund in mid-February. In a telephone conversation with Patricia at the Nanaimo office, I had asked how long it would take to update the credit bureau and she told me that they notify immediately. It It is now the 27th March, and I am a paying customer with Equifax with access to my credit report 24/7. There is still no update to my credit report. Since May 2012, since my Ex paid the account off has anybody in that office notified Equifax - 1 yr and 10 months. I have emailed the same contact and have not received a response. I will be contacting the Alberta Consumer agency and the BBB to file complaints for Able Apton Morris Stagg's lack of courteous/prompt business practices. Thanks. J. Buffett 780.667.1976

    Update for the last review Nov 6th, 2013
    I was told by an AAMS representative that the amount owed of 546$ was responsible by both of us as we were both on the lease. Seeing as the last months rent was already paid by me via DD the remainder, I felt, my co-lease was responsible for. I asked him to pay, but he refused. I saved up the money so that I could pay the remainder so it would get off my credit report. This dispute actually went to civil court in Dec 2013 where the judge ordered both of us to share documentation before trial actually started. In the documents the other party shared, it was noted that he already paid in May 2012 Loooong before I did. Neither party, AAMS or my ex-co-lease, notified me of this fact for 10 MONTHS up until the March 2013 payment that I forwarded AAMS and yet ANOTHER 9 MONTHS at Civil Court trial!!! The first payment by my ex-co-lease actually CLOSED the collections account as of Official Receipt dated May 2nd, 2012 by Tele/Internet Banking. I have a copy of this receipt. The judge that day said that I should be going after this over-payment. AAMS was not supposed to keep it, therefore it should be returned. AAMS has not notified me in writing or telephone which leads me to believe that they do not want to return it to me hoping that I will simply just walk away from it. I will be sending a registered letter with the intent that the money be refunded to me. If I get not response, I will be spending 100$ court filing fee to get it back. Thank you.

    Customer Service
    Due to a split up, rent was owed for last month between my Ex and I. Upon move out, my damage deposit already paid for 65% of the arrears. The property owner put the arrears in collections to which my Ex is unfairly suing me for his share. In the past year, the arrears were paid in full, twice, therefore $$ is owed back to both of us by Able APton Morris Stagg. I received a phone call two months ago by a gentleman representing the company and no doubt a person of authority to issue refunds who confirmed there was an overpayment and a check was in the mail. There has been no check issued or cashed. I call and ask to speak about my account and I am told that the person is unavailable. I call to speak to a manager, and there is no manager available. Looks to me like nothing but a constant runaround from this company yet the original person on my account on first contact last year was very rude and non-cooperative to make any arrangement even before fully paying off the arrears in the first place. This company is not professional. I give 0/5 stars for rating but will give 1/5 stars as that is required as a minimum in that section where it isn't deserved.
