ECO Insulating glass with heat mirror and krypton imploding problems !!
ECO Insulating glass with heat mirror and krypton imploding problems !! We bought IG from ECO Insulating glass Inc, 1416 BonhillRoad Mississauga, Ont. L5T 1L3, Canada. In total 193 units QUAD SC75 with Heat Mirror film and filled with krypton in April 2009. ECO-INSULATIIONG GLASS QUAD SC75? www.ecoglass.ca/film-options ??Heat Mirror IG EASTMAN www.eastman.com/Brands/HeatMirror/Residential/Pages/How_It_Works.aspx?? ? The first unit implode in 2015 we had no idea what happend. ?We reported the problem to ECO Insulating glass Inc. (Glenn MacEachern) on 29 Nov. 2016 after two more units imploded. ? After many emails with ECO INSULATING GLASS INC. and 4 more imploded units we decided to have a glass expert Ir. W.F. Westgeest from Bouwkans to make an official report in the hope that this would convince Glenn MacEachern Vice President - Sales ECO Insulating Glass Inc. that we have a very serious problem and that the 193 units faultly produced QUAD SC75 units with Heat Mirror film and krypton gas will all implode or leak in the near future.

    Imploded IG glass
We bought IG from ECO Insulating Glass Inc, In total 193 units QUAD SC75 with Heat Mirror film and filled with krypton gas in April 2009. The first unit imploded in 2015. ECO Insulating Glass used the wrong sealant, this is a well know problem but ECO Insulating Glass does not want to take responsabilety for it and does not honor their warranty policy. Please read the full report about the problem on insulating - glass - film - problem . weebly . com I am looking for more customers from ECO Insulating Glass with the same problem.... In reaction to the request down below from ECO Insulating Glass to correct the facts, i have added the following facts down below: On 12 January 2017 Glenn MacEachern CEO of ECO Insulating Glass Inc. wrote an email with the following text: "In the meantime I have had a similar situation here locally over the holidays” The insulating glass was installed as instructed on page 23 & 24 of the Architect Information Binder from ECO Insulating Glass Inc., this is also confirmed in the report on page 7. There is no statement in the binder at section "HEAT MIRROR GLAZING INSTRUCTIONS” page 21- 27 that cross bars may not be glued-on the insulating glass. There is NO correlation between glued-on cross bars and leaking Krypton gas true the sealant between the panes. The BIGGEST prove is a spare insulating glass unit that has never been installed, it has been stored in a cupboard in a garage and is concave, it shows exactly the same problem as the other 193 windows and will sooner or later implode, see page 12 of the report on the web site: insulating - glass - film - problem . weebly . com All 193 IG's manufactured by ECO Insulating Glass Inc. are concave because of the use of a unsuitable sealant for Krypton gas and need replacement.
