Tru-weld steel gratings are forge welded, a system in which Fisher and Ludlow was a pioneer. In this process, the cross bars and bear are permanently forged together by pressure and heat into a single unit construction which results in superior strength per pound than mechanical assembly methods. Fisholow Galok aluminum gratings use a unique interlocking system that joins together the bearing and cross bars together in panels of superior rigidity and strength.
