Telus rep at door said high speed fibre optic service, "was in the neighbourhood" and explained all the benefits. Believing him I signed up for the service. On investigating further I found that the fibre optic service was not in my neighbourhood and not scheduled to be serviced in the near future. I cancelled the agreement and am quite angry about the misrepresentation and the wasted time spent correcting this mess.
No, I would NOT recommend this business to a friend
I am disappointed that telus has no way of helping out seniors. We live in Whitelaw and they tell us it would cost about $1000 to get a line in and we have to pay half up front. We live on a pension and my husband has a health issue which requires him to go to Edmonton every 6 months if we had a phone we would only have to go once a month. We could pay so much monthly but don't have funds to pay half up front. You would think there would be a way for telus to help. I have found since becoming a senior in Canada I am worse off than before at least before I didn't have to jump through hoops to get a service and now every time we need help I have to write letters to get any help.
