I purchased a fashion ring that had a clearance tag of 374.00 on the display. When the sales clerk rang up the price it came up as 399.00. When this discrepancy was pointed out to the clerk she explained that the ring had been put in the wrong spot???? She had just finished telling me that the clearance price was $374.00. I paid anyways as the ring was what I was looking for. The ring was to be back 2 weeks later which was Friday February 20. I have just come to pick the ring up and so far it has not arrived on February 23. I received a cool reception with little assistance or explanation and was told that they would phone me when it was in and I would have to make the trip over here again. I was told it was to be in yesterday by another sales clerk which was Sunday feb. 22???? Why was I told the 20th and now apparently it was supposed to be the 22nd! The staff was not proactive in dealing with the situation. This will be my last purchase from Ben Moss Jeweller.
I have shopped at Ben Moss for over 30 years. I will never set foot in one of their stores again. Their practice of charging double for repairs done by third party suppliers is their policy. I sent a watch to a manufacturer through Ben Moss, it came back and they charged me over 110% on top of what the watch manufacturer charged. I'm sure that everyone would agree that if they don't do a service, they shouldn't be charging for it. Come on Ben Moss! Is this how you treat your loyal customers, with a money grab that is nothing short of thievery?
