TEAM School

All parents hope their children will achieve high scholastic and personal goals, and at T.E.A.M. School, parents find that these goals are being met and surpassed through the individualized learning programmes. Tutorial and Educational Assistance in Mississauga, or TEAM School, was established in 1981 to strengthen the learning skills of students. Located in the heart of Mississauga, TEAM School is a non-denominational private school recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Education. At the Elementary level (Grades 1 to 8), TEAM School offers small class sizes (8:1 student to teacher ratio) as well as bi-weekly communication in the form of a phone call from the child's teacher. TEAM School has been the key ingredient in the success that our students have realized at the secondary and post-secondary levels. For students in Grades 9 to 12, the TSS (TEAM Secondary School) programme places emphasis on the core credits at the applied level - preparing students for success in post-secondary community college programmes. Small class size of no more than 12 students allow for greater personal attention while a shared extracurricular programme with Mentor College completes the high school experience. Positive Learning Environment A post-secondary education is more of a necessity for success than ever before, and with each passing year, the requirements for admission are becoming more stringent. Higher scholastic achievement is required in high school to gain entrance to these programmes and TEAM School believes that it is imperative to get students into a positive learning environment as early as possible. TEAM creates a school environment where students' learning process can be accelerated, but at the same time where learning can be enjoyable. By the time students are in high school, they have already established their learning habits, so it is essential to get them enthused about learning at a young and receptive age.
