The place is lack luster to begin with. One of their "crowd drawers" is their "Jig the Joker" apparently the tickets are granted by purchasing a drink, prior to 11pm. The occupancy had less than 20 people... total. Yet you not only have to stay until 12am for the draw but purchase the drinks prior to 11pm to qualify. It's no wonder why they can't draw a crowd. In a small town where there are two other bars withing a 5 minute walking distance (The Hawk's Club or the Sandbar) this "lotto" is a reason why a patriant would chose the Shamrock Club over these other assesable locations. The "crowd drawer" itself has flaws even if you choose to subject yourself to this disappointment for that reason alone. They draw from a deck of 52 weekly so even if your name gets called your chances are 1 in 52. Not allowing occupants to enter said draw past 11:00pm is sub par. They simply don't have anything other reasons to attact people to enter let alone stay once they do. ? I suspect they'll go under in the next 5 years. If not significantly sooner. Business is business, but when your "billboard" always advertises for this ONE event, and you disqualify participants that otherwise would never bother stopping in... you're going to lose out. Especially since there are other options in Dominion. The Sandbar for example may not have a "Saturday Night Lotto" but they have a better crowd, music/entertainment, environment and staff. If given the choice to go somewhere lively or to go to the Shamrock after 11pm and receive drinks at relatively the same cost without any perks... why would anyone choose the Shamrock Club? It's unfortunate that this club seems to want to stay involved in it's community yet has no sense of Marketing or customer satisfaction. I'd never willingly step foot in it again. Visit it yourself. You'll understand my disappointment. Complete thumbs DOWN ?
