    No Place to take time
    I was expecting more of a store, Entrance area is small dirty and cluttered,no place to sit. Owner/clerk is a overbearing impatient person. no prices posted for work or material costs. Owner was repulsed by my perfume and told me if I was to return not to wear any scents, because everyone in shop has allergies. No scent free zone sign posted. Employee was not able to assist me because only owner could give estimates..Fabric prices were high because I was told she had to purchase entire bolt of fabric for my sofa. She told me The cost of the remaining fabric would be taken off the labour charge.?? Initially I was satisfied with work until I saw it at home in time, seems on the cushions were crooked, Piping around frame was not even, and the wood work had been given a stain or wax that I did not request, Upon examining stain I noticed knicks in wood that were not there when I dropped sofa off. After speaking with the owner she informed me that I should have expected touch up work after a re upholstery job and if I couldnt live with the sewing than the re pair would be at my expense (new furniture is not perfect if you look hard I was told) no warranty on work or fabric, no water or stain repellent used because of allergies (you can do it my self, cans available at WM she said) During my time with the woman giving me direction, I endured listing about her health issues, local gossip and past employee stories of taking advantage of her skill to go work for themselves, very unprofessional. Her appearance took me back but I guess some stores in the valley are Mom and Pop casual. If your looking for a friendly up to date store expecting an array of elegant fabric, with samples and examples of work this is not the place to go. She suggested if I wanted to see pictures of her work to visit so and so web sites, which I did. There are no pictures close enough to see the detailed work. Used Dempsey's once wont go back to that dingy closet again.
