She has worked mixed practice, emergency and small animal practice as a locum, an associate and as a practice owner in Calgary, AB and on Vancouver Island. In 2000, she established Cowichan Veterinary Services, serving Lake Cowichan and surrounding area on Vancouver Island from a clinic based practice while becoming a contributing community member through volunteering, donating, and service work. In the summer of 2012 she reinvented Cowichan Veterinary Services as a HouseCall Only Practice and is delighted to be serving the 4-leggeds at their homes. Dr. Bernhardt is a member in good standing with the B.C. College of Veterinarians and the College of Integrative Veterinary Therapies.
