    two sides to every story
    Please be assured we do not dispose of customers machines without their consent. According to the work order the customer with the "orange Ascaso" was contacted with the estimated cost to repair the machine. He declined to have it repaired and it is still at the shop and can be picked up at his convenience. We also guarantee our work and if a customer takes home a machine and it is still not fixed we will honor that guarantee. We cannot resolve an issue if, unfortunately, it is not brought to our attention. It is true that at times it can take some time to repair home units as commercial customers take precedent. We are sorry that some customers have been made to wait but there are also some things that are out of our control (i.e. parts suppliers not responding or are themselves out of stock.) Espresso Fix

    Previous Reviewer Got It Right
    It seems to be the m.o. on this espresso 'fixer'. They are way over their heads on anything other than superauto. Takes months to fix but most of the time its not fixed. Bought every single part for my machine, took weeks, and I was charged almost double from the exact issue fixed the first time (and I didn't buy all the parts). Reality is there is no one credible or competent in Victoria to work on espresso machines.

    Poor business practice
    I took an espresso machine to Shawn's Espresso Fix after talking to him about it not heating up anymore. It was a beautiful orange Ascaso Dream. He sounded reluctant to work on it, but agreed to have a look at it with the understanding that he was busy and wouldn't be able to work on it for a few weeks. I didn't hear back from him and let it go for a few months before phoning to see what the situation was. I had to leave a message and when he did return my call he informed me that he lost my work order with my phone number on it so he didn't call me back. In the mean time, he decided to dispose of my espresso machine. I was too shocked to know how to respond to that. I tried to phone back later to see if he might have any ideas for addressing this but he didn't return my calls.
