From private lessons in voice, piano, and keyboard to group vocal and keyboard, our yearly programs are extremely comprehensive and exciting in our fully-equipped studio classroom. The instructor, Monica Tracey, has been teaching and performing in Kelowna for the past 13 years. Her goal is to bring each student to their ultimate level of success in music. She has her ARCT in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music, as well as a College Diploma from Vancouver Community College Music Dept. Monica is a Certified Yamaha Music Instructor and has taught group piano lessons and voice lessons for over 20 years. She is the owner/operator of Music World Studios. Monica has been performing in the Okanagan as a singer and keyboardist for the past 13 years in various acts and as a soloist. She frequently entertains as a solo singer/keyboard player at many restaurants, wineries, and clubs, as well as with her duo, "Electric Freeway" with guitarist Robert Escott. Monica is the lead singer of the current Kelowna-based band, Moni Funk. They have been performing all throughout the Okanagan since 2009 at clubs, private functions, fundraisers, and weddings. We offer one-on-one, 30- to 45-minute lessons custom-tailored to advance all students with our vocal lessons, piano lessons, and keyboard lessons. Both classical and jazz piano, keyboard, and theory lessons for beginners to more advanced levels are offered, as well. Adults are always welcome! As for our group lessons, anywhere from two to five students may be enrolled in each class. We emphasize creativity, harmonization, music writing, performance, auditions, and festivals. Beginner levels to more advanced levels are offered for our group lessons, as well. Students are strongly encouraged and to build confidence in front of an audience. All instrument lessons include training in theory, and these concepts are taught from beginner levels to more advanced levels.
