The Alberta Safety Council (ASC) is a not-for-profit, charitable organization dedicated to ‘Making Alberta a Safer Place to Live, Work and Play.’ Much has changed in the 65 years we have been delivering safety programs in Alberta. But what has always remained the same is our commitment to safety excellence.
Throughout our existence, the ASC has developed and delivered some of the most current and cutting edge safety training and services, educational materials and safety support to communities across Alberta.
As the number one provider of safety courses in the Province of Alberta, our goals are to prevent injury; provide training and educational services and to promote safety practices.
As a membership based charitable organization, we operate on a cost recovery basis to ensure all programs and services are available at the lowest possible rates. Membership fees are used to maintain and expand our existing programs and services.
Our proposed new Centre for Safety Excellence is the ASC’s vision for a world class facility to be built by and for Albertans. Based in Edmonton, this Centre will be dedicated to all aspects of safety training for Albertans of all ages.
