    Terrible Customer Service/Management/Ownership - They ruined our groceries
    I want to CAUTION people from using Quaye's Delivery. We recently sold three machines on kijiji to a nice man who arranged to have Quaye's pick up the items as they are too big for him to transport himself. Our mover (and apparently owner) was grumpy when I opened the front door before he had a chance to ring the bell (I didn’t want the dogs getting worked up). I told him I’d open the garage for him and tell him what needs to be taken. After opening up the garage for him and pointing out which machines were to be taken I didn’t get much more than a gruntled response before he started. I went back in to the house being given the impression this guy was not a talker much less a people person and if he needed any help he would knock on the door like any of the other tradesmen and businesses we’ve had in our garage and house the last few months. He never knocked - not even to tell me he was done so we could close the garage door. All in all a crappy experience but nothing that soured my partner or I too much. Fast forward to last night when we are putting away the groceries… I open the deep freeze in our garage only to find that it had been unplugged and approx $300 in food was now garbage. Turns out they unplugged our freezer as well. We decide to contact the company to inform them of the incident not really expecting much more than an apology and the incident to be noted. TURNS OUT EVEN AN APOLOGY FOR DESTROYING $300 IN FOOD IS TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR WITH QUAYE’S. Their owner verbally attacked us on the phone. Putting the blame on me for not helping (hard to help when the mover will barely say three words to you and we were not the ones who paid for his service). Saying there was no way he was paying for our groceries (we didn’t even ask that). When asked if he was the owner of the company he said yes. When we followed up with “So this is the quality of service to expect from your company?” He hung up. Save yourself the drama of working with this company.
