By James from TorontoThis Cleaners Lost an Expensive Blue BlazerI had mailed my blue blazer and two suits to my wife while serving in Afghanistan. I mailed them so that my wife could get them cleaned and pressed before my arrival back in Canada. Shortly after I returned, I looked for my blue blazer, but it was not to be found. I DID find a black suit coat made by Calvin Klein which was NOT mine. The proprietors of this dry cleaning establishment tried to tell me that I didn't have a blue blazer, but a black suit coat instead. I explained that the blue blazer was navy blue and had metal buttons, while the coat they substituted was black and had plastic buttons. They were adamant they could not have made a mistake, and implied that I didn't know what was in my own wardrobe. It is so ironic that I could preserve my blue blazer in Afghanistan--by not wearing it and keeping it in a garment bag--but back in Canada it would be lost by the cleaners! I was insulted that the proprietors offered to make NO kind of restitution, other than trying to get me to keep the black suit coat that was NOT mine. My family had been using this cleaners for 5 - 6 years. They were always more expensive than other cleaners. The quality of the cleaning was very good--but you cannot continue to do business with people who treat you like an idiot. They should have just bitten the bullet and admitted their mistake--they mixed up my blazer with somebody else's suit coat. But they insulted my intelligence and tried to make me believe that they had never gotten a blue blazer from me, and that I unknowingly owned a black suit coat made by Calvin Klein, which I most assuredly did not. As a result of their complete inability to admit and fix a mistake, my family walks 100 meters farther to a cleaners that we can trust. People should use this cleaners at their own peril--they will NOT do the right thing when they make an error!No, I would NOT recommend this business to a friend-
