First I'm a client and have been given frozen food that was expired more than two years ago.. Second I feel it incumbent upon me to donate what I can and when I can..problem is that there is a lack of response to phone calls and emails and the signage on their door does not truly reflect their drop off hours for donations.. It seems I have to chase them to donate when other charities gladly will pick up your donation or otherwise assist you with your gift..not so with our community cares!! I would ask that anyone reconsider their initiative to give to occ as I truly feel they do not appreciate or even need some donations( despite them clearly stating otherwise). Also they give misinformation to people ie. That everyone who is a client gives back to occ in some fashion or another! Really??? I don't think so and if this was truly the case then they should disclose why all the other food banks have such abysmal rates in that regard!!-
