Fashionista

In the Urban Dictionary, "Fashionista" means: "One who follows fashion: A person devoted to fashion clothing, particularly unique or high fashion." Thanks to television shows like "Sex and the City" rather more specifically, thanks to actresses such as Sarah Jessica Parker, the image of a "fashionista" has been modernized into a much more positive, powerful and successful feminine role. The truth is, it's the new millennium and the hottest trend right now is that it's okay to be a woman again. The "fashionista" doesn't look at her femininity as a gender flaw. "Fashionista's" are extremely realistic when it comes to the world of fashion, and buying a designer suit or expensive jeans does not automatically make them materialistic. They just happen to have a good eye for quality and a serious taste for style. This kind of shopping is not shallow - it's an investment in looking and feeling the best you can. Real fashionistas do not believe in trends. But they do add seasonal must-haves to their classic wardrobes to make a stylish statement.
