    Ppl do no move here! We have a newborn it's 2015. And we movies into a suite 1 day ago and there are roaches everywhere! We're so disappointed. There migrating big time. 4th floor smh. Do not do it! Pls

    Two Years Too Long
    My girlfriend and I moved into this building in June, 2011. The longer we've stayed, the less thrilled with the experience we've been. Kaneff claims that the building is patrolled by security. Residents are encouraged to call security with any after-hours concerns. What residents are not told is that security is rarely reachable, and messages are only checked every other hour. The one time anyone actually answered, someone was using drugs in a stairwell adjacent to our apartment door. The security guard refused to come, because their partner was not with him. Ventilation in the building leaves something to be desired. We have smokers above and below us, and the stench of cigarette and marijuana smoke filters in through the heating vents constantly. The doors to apartments are set up directly across from one another. If someone is having a loud conversation at the end of a visit, it carries directly into neighbours' units. The building has an indoor pool, but the pool is rarely heated. Management claims the heat is not kept at a comfortable level, because not a lot of residents use the pool. Not a lot of residents care to swim in ice-cold water. A classic catch-22. In winter months, it's often as long as 48 hours after snowfall that the driveway and entrance is plowed, and there is often a lineup of cars waiting to attempt to climb the ice rink they call a driveway. Sidewalks are not cleared to the roadway, either, forcing residents to risk injury by walking in the icy driveway. While the building is generally clean and free of insects, the maintenance issues and lack of interest in addressing these issues has lead us to hand in our 60-day notice. Rent at your own risk.
