The Greater Trail Area Creative Activities Centre Society for the Visual Arts (VISAC) is a non-profit Society founded in 1989. An elected volunteer board oversees the affairs of the centre and public participation and support is encouraged. Member Clubs already active in VISAC are the West Kootenay Chapter of the Federation of Canadian Artists, the Kootenay V, the Rossland Art Club and the Greater Trail Potter’s Guild. Workshops and Classes VISAC offers workshops in painting, pottery and lapidary throughout the year. VISAC also collaborates with Selkirk College Community Education to offer visual art and art history classes during the college's winter/spring sessions.
