Davin Management is a horribly run, ineffective, mismanaged and an extremely poor company to do business with. Our strata was forced to use them as we were a new development, and in a short 2yr span, we had 4-5 property managers who did nothing but take our money. Davin Management broke several strata property act regulations including but not limited to: failure to hold our AGM within 2months of the fiscal year. They didn't even present us an AGM budget until 5months later, and even then the numbers were completely wrong. They also wrongly misled us that they had auto renewed their contract when in reality, as per the strata property act, their contract ended 4weeks after the AGM should have been held. During our entire time dealing with Davin Management, we encountered numerous challenges and roadblocks including extremely rude property managers, and callous ownership who were only looking out for their own bottom line. They also refused to work with the new property management company during the transition, and performed zero services during the last month they were contractually obligated for. We were told that "we were even lucky they showed up for the previous months strata meeting". When we talked to the Real Estate Council Board regarding Davin Management, they were fully aware of many issues that other owners have faced when dealing with Davin Management. The above is only a short summary of the damaged they caused to our long term success as a development.
Avoid Davin Management at all costs, or you will end up paying much more down the road in frustration, time and costs, along with misappropriation of funds which will be entered as "office expenses" and then never explained, along with rude and juvenile owners.
