    Acquatec Seafoods Ltd. in Comox took our fish and ripped us off BIG TIME!
    Acquatec(supervisor) in Comox admitted they made a very serious error processing our fish. Fillets ended up in the scrap pile(they admit they have no knowledge where these fillets came from(ours or other customers. Their supervisor promised they would compensate us for these fillets the next am. and said our fish was ready for p/u. They showed us in writing we had 87 lbs of smoked candy salmon and 40 lbs of hot smoked salmon out of the over 200lbs of fresh cleaned processed fish we took in. BUT upon p/u the fish we only got a total of 78 lbs of smoked fish(37%) return! We were promised 55-60% return. Upon speaking with management they were extremely rude, defensive, untruthful, unable to account missing weights and fillets in scraps, said the employee that made us the promises was let go because she made inaccurate promises and errors and "didn't work out". They said just take what you have and don't come back as we will not miss one customer in our business! They actually argued amongst each other as one supervisor kept telling other management they were 100% at fault and they needed to take ownership for their erros and make this right for us. This supervisor was over ruled by upper management(that never did introduce themselves as employees or management. It was found they were upper ,management only when questioned "who they were" that stepped into this debate! For 78 lbs of smoked fish they charged us $688.50 for labour to process our fresh cleaned fish. On same day we took batch of same fish to competition for exact same processing. They did excellent job with no mix ups and we got a 60% return! Aquatec stated the "competition" was acting illegal in their plant! Am strongly considering taking legal action against Aquatec Seafoods Ltd. They even stated their(Aquatec Seafood's) freezer quit working and they were desparately trying to get rid of the fish that thawed and was on display! This is the worst business paractices encountered in a lifetime! Disgusting!
