    cheap... both ways
    Made repairs 10yrs ago on windows of our triplex in Montreal. Price was quite competitive. Repairs were not only cheap, state of the art was apparently missing (according to experts who came recently). 10yrs later, we have to invest a lot of money to get the windows properly and durably fixed. From the point of view of Protec itself (came to give a new quote for our recent repairs) and two other windows repair experts (we got quotes from too), work done 10yrs ago was pretty bad: some of it actually made more damage than good (partial capping retaining humidity inside the wood of our window bases, bad quality joints, very fair work in general). The recent quote from Protec to repair the windows is surprisingly again quite cheap, and professionalism of the estimator sounds very questionable: he didn't really inspect any window for more than 5 seconds (which we first thought was a mark of high professionalism! but not anymore after we saw other experts who took some good time to properly inspect them all).
    Apparently, Protec has a great backlog (I guess probably thanks to their cheap prices)... what a world!
