The Bedeque Area Historical Museum displays the Red Barn Collection of the late Howard Clark, the Callbeck Store Collection, and various permanent and temporary exhibits consisting of a mix of storyboards and artifacts relating to the history of the area, with special emphasis on the United Empire Loyalists who were the first British settlers in the Bedeque Bay area. The Lower Bedeque Schoolhouse, where world-famous author of Anne of Green Gables Lucy Maud Montgomery was a teacher for a time, is located across the road from the Museum.
