I have gone to Bureau en Gros (Staples) twice now just for some standard printing and photocopying and have left extremely dissatisfied both times. My student-run university print shop offers better service, better quality and for a fairer price. The personnel Bureau en Gros hires is apparently untrained for working the photocopy counter and very unprofessional. I first went in to have a two-sided pamphlet printed out 500x in black and white on regular paper and was informed that it would cost me around 500$! Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere and my university print shop ended up doing it for 50$. 10x less than Bureau en Gros' price and they folded my pamphlets for me! I next made the mistake of returning to Bureau en Gros to make photocopies of a document and have it laminated. I was told that it would cost $2.50 per sheet, which added up to 10$ for 4 sheets. The person at the counter then asked me to actually rip out the pages I needed copied and laminated from the book the originals were in because she couldn't make the copies herself. I had to go and spend more money on making copies of the 4 pages I wanted copied and laminated. While I was doing so, another employee came over and actually took my credit card out of the photocopy machine without asking because the machine was out of order and they hadn't had time to put up a sign (there were about 5 customers photocopying things and 3 employees at the counter). When I finally managed to print out my documents, I was then informed that I would need to come back and pick up my laminated documents the next day as they couldn't laminate 4 sheets of paper that day. I ended up leaving with my photocopies, buying self-laminating sheets at the dollar store and it was probably just as good as what I would have gotten from Bureau en Gros, not to mention much cheaper. Lesson learned: I will never shop at Bureau en Gros again!
No, I would NOT recommend this business to a friend
