By Jeannie from PeterboroughNot what I had expected...My daughter did the camp in Canmore from July 14 – 18th 2014. The highlights were there were so many great players and the on ice instructors where awesome. I was also shocked to hear say she really liked the food. What I didn’t like was the sleeping on the floor. I thought that for $500 per player the accommodations could have been better. Also I think there could have been a little more explanation of the accommodations so parents could have been better prepared. I felt the information was misleading for example; we were asked us to reply with who your daughter was friends with so they could share a room. 12 – 14 girls slept on the floor in classrooms you basically just piled in. Most girls had air mattresses and a helpful dad filled my daughters mattress with his handy electric pump. We had a problem with the hockey group my daughter had been assigned to. We spoke to the organizer at check-in and he didn’t sound hopeful but really close the door on making the change. I wanted to know if there was any chance for her to change groups so I contacted someone at head office who passed on a message to the organizer from me. I heard nothing. The next day I left a voicemail directly with the same person who did not return my call. On the third day I called head office again and said I was going out there. I did get a call back then and the first thing he said was “ you can save the trip because I am not changing her” I felt his tone with me was rude and unnecessary. Much of the hostility could have been avoided if he just returned my call and talked to me. In the future it would be nice to see the list of all the girls who are participating not just those in our assigned group.No, I would NOT recommend this business to a friend-
