By A from Torontoignored my wishes & damaged my propertyI went to Sam's to have my engagement ring resized. They first offered to put in a metal spacer, which I declined and emphasized that I absolutely did not want to do it that way. They said it would take 2-3 days to sent it out to be resized. I thought this was reasonable so we did that. A week later I got a voicemail from someone there with a very rude tone saying it was a "reminder" to pick up my jewellery, it was the first call I received from them so I was puzzled at the impatient and unpleasant tone. I went the next day and was given my ring with a metal spacer inside. They claimed that it was not possible to resize it (the reason was not well explained)so they had to do that instead, even though I had already made it clear that I did NOT want to do that. The man that gave me my ring back then took a knife and after a few minutes of trying, pried the metal spacer off of the ring. The ring now has deep scratches all over the inside of it. This is not by any means an expensive ring, but it is very valuable to me. It was given to me as an engagement ring by my fiancee on, not only our first vacation together, but the first real vacation either of us have ever been on. It was purchased in the Dominican Republic and given to me on the beach. It is now damaged simply because this establishment ignored me when I said I did not want metal spacers in it, and when they discovered they couldn't resize it, instead of phoning me they decided to just put the spacer in anyways. They then took NO care removing the spacer and instead hacked at it with a knife for several minutes to remove it. I will absolutely NEVER support this business again.No, I would NOT recommend this business to a friend-
