Rajinder Singh (Ron) Sunner & Surinder Kaur (Susan) Sunner established Laketown Furnishings Ltd. in the summer of 1971. Ron & Susan opened their first location on 1st Avenue in Williams Lake in a 2000 square foot building. Forty-two years later Laketown Furnishings still serves Williams Lake & the surrounding area. Over this period of time the business moved several times until it found two inter-connected buildings on 2nd Avenue in 1993. Many customers comment on how this complex resembles a giant maze. Clients often wander over all four floors and travel throughout the 20,000 square foot space as they search for the perfect furniture and appliances for their homes. The company specializes in Canadian suppliers that produce high end upholstered furniture, mattresses, case goods, futons, dining room & bedroom furniture.
