I was sorry to read the previous review as my experiences over the past several years with Barb, her husband, staff and store have been positive. My parents and I remain very pleased with the work done on several antiques both plated and sterling. We were very pleased with the repairs, replacement blade on a pie lifter, and saving money on Barb's advice not to re-silver some items that did not have intrinsic or sentimental value to us. I truly appreciated their business/personal ethics in giving such advice. As well, I have purchased several sterling silver napkin rings for my children and appreciate the information that Barb provided regarding their origins and the identifiers on the objects. I believe Barb is expert in her field as well as a sensitive and helpful person. For me, stepping into this store is delightful, both for the uplift of such beauty and to add to very pleasant relationships. Thank you for reading my little comment; be well!
I had Classic Silverware in Victoria repair and re-plate some of my families heirloom pieces. I urge people to avoid taking their silver pieces into their shop for repair or re-plating services. To my utter dismay I was charged for repairs that were never done, was given pieces that belonged to another family and had pieces returned from re-plating that were badly damaged. The owner Barb was very hostile when I complained and was unwilling to hear my concerns or to take any steps to rectify that damages done which were extensive. I will have to find another service and will have to pay for the repairs despite the considerable expense that I already incurred to have the pieces restored at Classic Silverware.
No, I would NOT recommend this business to a friend
