    Dissatisfied
    I purchased a Boston 1200 insert and here I am a year later and the door fell of and the unit is rusting. Now Enviro wants me the consumer to accept their refurbished unit. I did not pay for a unit refurbished! I was a warranty manager for Bob Thulman the inventor of the prefab fireplace and then after Mr. Thulman sold to HNI the business is now known as Hearth and Home Technoligies (Fireside Hearth & Home). I built their warranty divisions up and down the East Coast of the United States. Enviro sold me a DEFECTIVE product the bracket that hold the door pin in place was defective. They welded the pin back and stated they corrected the units bracket by bending it and painted the surface of the unit with spray paint. After stating to the Ditributor that I was not satisfied with this repair he stated the manufacturer is refusing to replace the wood stove. I will tell you in all my years in the fireplace industry I would never have made my customers wait as long as they did to resolve my issue. As a warranty manager for the largest fireplace company in the industry I did what it took to satisfy my customers, National Contracts with builders would have been lost without such excellent warranty service to my customers! Although they stated they would warranty the weld I am not satisfied with a weld, that is not what I paid for! And I certainly did not pay for a unit that is rusting in the inside of box and exterior finish. When installers removed the box they found NO Moisture or water issues. Yet I am being told that moisture must have caused this. In my heart I knew I should have gotten a Vermont Castings they warranty there products and do what it takes to satisfy the customer. I know because I was a WARRANTY Manager.So here I am I paid top dollar for this product and they resolved with sorry we will not replace your unit. How much do you think it will cost your bottom line with a dissatisfied customer like myself? Ask yourself that.

    Enviro Meridian 1 Pellet Stove
    We love our stove. We've only had it a little less than 2 weeks so I won't give a 5 star rating just yet. It's quieter than the last one we had. I found out that to get tech support I have to talk to the distributor for the state I'm in. He was great. The instruction manual needs a little help as it left out a key instruction for changing from auto to hi-lo. Also for novices like myself it would be helpful to have a chart that says what the blinking lights mean in the different colors. Living way out in the country I appreciated being able to talk to a tech.

    Customer Service and response to Parts Replacement: B-A-D!
    I wrote to Enviro/SHerwood on 4/1/14 to express my extreme frustration. To date, I have not received a response. My husband and I purchased an Enviro M-55 pellet stove insert and we were enjoying the warmth and comfort of this stove through early February, when the blower began making loud, squeaking, whirring sounds. The stove is still under warranty, so we called our retail dealer for service, and they told us it was likely the convection blower. They came out to look at the unit in mid-February, and confirmed that to be the problem; informing us that the part was on back-order. When I asked for a reasonable expectation for delivery/replacement of the part, they told me they were informed by the manufacturer, Sherwood Industries, that nothing would be available until the end of March. The part cannot be found on-line anywhere, and is still not available through my retailer...leading me to believe this problem is very widespread. The stove shop advised us not to use the stove without a functioning blower, as the stove could overheat and create a hazard. So we are held hostage, having to purchase home heating oil while NOT being able to burn the pellets we had already purchased. Today is April 14, and the "...end of month" benchmark I have been hearing for about 9 weeks has come and gone. To date I have purchased over $1,200 in home heating oil that I wasn't counting on budget-wise, and I have received some of the poorest customer service, response time and accountability of my life. If there are five customers waiting on this replacement part in my retail shop alone, think of all the other customers who have been held hostage this winter, due to Enviro's inability to manufacture and deliver a significant part for the units they sell. I don't know many people who can afford to spend hard earned money on a stove and pellets they cannot use, and who must also spend significant other monies on alternative heating. Shame on you, Enviro & Sherwood Industries.

    I bought my stove less than a year ago dealer made many promisses and guarantees about this product. I have been less than satisfied with the product, I was told I could burn any pellet when I bought stove but when I started having issues I was told it was thr pellet I was burning, Iwas burning a top 5 pellet....stove was not heating the house but yet when I had issue with warping of back plate I was told my stove was running too hot. I was also told that the stove I bought was not intended to be primary heat sorce but yet when I was buying the stove they told me it would be. Now every time I have issue now fan is very loud, I'm told its because I have a dog....my dog is 7lbs and I have only opperated stove for five months....I am already wishing I never bought this stove.
