I am committed to helping my clients reshape their lives and reclaim their happiness. I want to aid my clients in removing the burdens that prevent them from enjoying life. I have been a professionally certified member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association since 2003. Prior to my certification, I completed my B.A. with highest honours in psychology at Carleton University and my M.A. at the University of Ottawa/St. Paul’s. I provide a range of services including counselling for individuals and couples therapy. As an EMDR clinician, I am highly trained in a form of treatment that mobilizes your brain's own healing abilities. EMDR therapy can provide significant relief in up to 1/3 fewer sessions. It is not only efficient but cost effective, as anyone with limited benefits or budget can appreciate. I have worked with a broad spectrum of client issues and symptoms and integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. I’ll work with you to help you develop skills you can use independently not just in session. My office is located in a pleasant residential neighbourhood in Ottawa South close to the General Hospital so parking is free and uncomplicated. The office itself is welcoming and bright and attention has been paid to client comfort. Appointments can usually be booked within a few days and some evening times are generally available. I understand that life doesn't stop for counselling and will do my best to accommodate your needs and respect your busy schedule.
