I am a qualified Registered Social Service Worker who graduated from the University of Guelph-Humber. I received an Honors Bachelors of Applied Science Degree in Family and Community Social Services as well as a Social Service Workers Diploma. I’m qualified to serve the public and strive to deliver a better quality of practice and care through continued professional learning.
I believe in empowering an individual to take control of their life and to enable a client’s ability to have their self-esteem grow. I put great effort in building and maintaining a relationship with the clients I’m working with.
I draw upon professional, educational and personal experience when working with my clients. I use a variety of different therapies and techniques to foster a client’s ability to reach success.
Benefits of Seeing a Social Service Worker: A social service worker’s goal is to help their client reach a point where they feel in control of their life and to be truly happy with who they and where they are in their journey. The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers defines a social service worker as someone who, “assist(s) clients in dealing with personal and social problems by delivering counselling, community services and social support programs.”
Sometimes clients are having difficulty with a certain situation, a person or behaviour in their life. Sometimes a client just needs someone to talk to and to provide feedback. By seeing a social service worker a client can see their self-esteem improve as well as their satisfaction with their life and relationships with others.
Whatever a client needs, I’m prepared and able to assist them. I’m committed to those I work with and I look forward to helping clients reach their fullest potential.
I’m an independent practitioner working out of the Harmony Health Clinic (HHC). Contact the clinic at 519-940-3600 if you are interested in my services.
