    The name fits
    This company is unreal and when I say unreal it's not meant as a compliment. It's truly unreal how badly this company is run. They are bar none the worst property management company I've ever dealt with. Where to even begin? Dishonest, rude and unprofessional management. A poorly maintained apartment building with a leaking roof, mold, a broken washing machine, and disgusting hallway carpets that look like they should have been replaced in the 80's. But wait there's more... what really made this place classy was the rampant and persistent bedbug problem... in addition to the cockroaches and mice that also lived there. Management refused to even acknowledge many of these problems and often only sprayed for bedbugs weeks after being notified about them. They do not care at all about tenant concerns or tenant welfare. At least the name of the company seems appropriate considering that they seem to cater to absentee slumlords. Unless you like having bedbugs, cockroaches and mice as roommates, stay very far away from this company. You'll be saving yourself untold amounts of grief and frustration. I had to give them 1 star out of 5 in order to submit this review but they deserve -20 out of 5 stars

    I wish I could give a negative rating. After 2 years of living in an apartment building managed by them we were fed up with the lack of maintenance.. we many small things start to add up because the building was outdated. The biggest being an electrical problem the was a fire hazard (2 plugs caught fire). They were also extremely unprofessional to communicate with. The building manager was always blaming the company and the company would blame the onsite manager but nothing was ever done. Finally we decided to move, I could literally write a day long list of complications that were handled poorly but we decided to cut our losses. NOW IT HAS BEEN AN ENTIRE YEAR SINCE LEAVING and we just received an argumentative email reply to an email that was sent over a year ago. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Before you start conflict, especially Operating as a business, it is common sense to make sure it is relevant. They didn't even verify the date of the email they were replying to an it. Another unprofessional act and sour taste in our mouths and we don't even live there anymore!

    Absolutely rude, unprofessional and down right inhumane!!!
    I have been renting from economy for 2 years in Nov. living in a little 1 bedroom apartment deep south. I was promised a 2 bedroom and trusted Economy to help me and my son, I waited two years for a 2 bedroom in our building and it kept being given to someone else. On July,24,2015 I was promised to get help to find a larger home and coaxed into writing a notice to vacate, now they will not help me. My son and I are going to be homeless because I did not have time to prepare and save up to secure another place. On top of that they refuse to give me a landlord reference. I have reported this company and hope that justice will be served. Please be careful before you trust this company, as I did and look what happened. This is not right something needs to be done. This company should not get away with treating tenants like this. FYI: I researched to see if this company is a part of the Better Business Bureau and they are NOT!!! That says it all!!!

    Disappointing to rent from this conmany!
    I rented a house from this company a month as of July 8th. The place was not cleaned properly...their was needles found on top of kitchen cabinets. The yard had trash all over the and the grass was about two feet tall. A toliet was sitting in the back yard for over 3 weeks. The dryer was all plugged up with lint and burnt around the wires. I vacuumed all what I could get out. It still does not dry properly. The windows are missing some panes...and they do not have locks on all of them. But the final straw was this morning. I got a call from Amanda Brown calling to tell me she was not happy and not impressed with me having put 8 black bags of garbage in the back yard. This was the garbage I had cleaned up myself with my kids. I want to end this lease and move out as soon as I can. I am posting this because I think I been doing this company's work and I do not need to rent from people who are not caring about the properties. I would not recommend anyone to renting from this person.

    I would recommend this company for the following reasons.
    I personally know the owners of this company and consider it slanderous that their good name and reputation have been abused by the negative comments posted. The owners of this company strive to promote honesty, fairness, excellent service and above all ethical behaviour in dealings with their clients. This business is family owned and deals with hundreds of clients that range from Condominium Management to rentals, to commercial property management. They have made huge sacrifices in time, money and work to provide many families with employment as well as services to companies for their tenants. They deal with problems in a timely and direct, fair manner. Unfortunately, one of the characteristics of their business (and many other businesses have similar problems)are malicious, contemptuous and untrustworthy people. EM is in the business of problem solving with respect to the companies they dutifully serve. Tenants of these companies may sometimes reflect their dissatisfaction through media such as this. Assuming tenancy is a responsible position and sometimes requires problem solving and respectful tactfulness. It is doubtful that 100% of people have this characteristic 100% of the time. Be assured, EM does follow through with their commitments. Errors are not omitted-they are rectified. ie. If there is water problems they are dealt with. If there are rodent, insect or mold problems in a building EM doe what ever is needed to solve that problem. Everyone makes choices that have consequences. If a tenant chooses to cancel a cheque there may be bank charges. Entitled behaviour from a tenant equates with lack of knowledge and understanding of the process of renting. Tenants too need to own their liabilities. To others that read this we all know that tenants can sometimes be liabilities. Economy Management strives to provide the best service possible under all the circumstances fairly presented to them.

    Watch yourself with this company, they have a tendency to try and rip you off. Not shocking I suppose with a rental company but these guys are brutal and completely unprofessional. I put 1 star but only because I had to pick at least 1 to post this. The property was in terrible shape, with mice and lots of mold. I moved out for September 1. The property manager even asked me to show my place for her and the place next door because it was "easier to have me do it for her" even though she had to drop off the other apartments keys for me. On the walk through it was decided I would get my damage deposit back but a month after I moved out I still hadn't recieved it. I called and she said they could cancel the check and remail it. As they had the correct forwarding address on file I suggested picking it up in person in case it didn't show up again. She said that would be fine, then after they cancelled the check and reissued it told me I'd have to pay the fee the bank charged them to cancel it. I phoned the landlord and tenant advisory board and spoke to 2 different people who thought it was utterly ridiculous they were charging me this fee but unfortunately there's no set law in place. They told me that I could fight it and likely win. However it was only a $13 fee and I didn't want to go to court over it so I just picked the check up. This was 1 of 2 incidences where they told me something would be ok and then charged me afterward. The other incident cost me $35, so all in total they ripped me off $50. Small amount but still. They lack ethics and basically are really sketchy so just make sure if they ever tell you anything get it in writing because they seem to like to set you up to keep your money.

    Bad attitude and totally unprofessional
    If you want things done in a professional manner.If you don't want to be treated badly.Please stay away from using this company! I gave it one star but I meant negative one star!
