Our 4-day trip to New-York has been cancelled less than 48h before departure and they said "this is normal" (sic), even though we had to book days off, buy visas and we were planning to visit friends. We bought the tickets more than a month before departure. The manager unashamedly did not care, and said that "since the company makes low margins, it is ok to just cancel trips that are not profitable" (sic). He also emphasized that "we are in Canada and this is allowed by law" (sic), which we don't contradict but is not a reason for cancelling people's vacations at such short notice. He also said that "since this is allowed by law, he is doing a good job" (sic) and started to question us about whether we are doing our own jobs right -- which we found inappropriate. As a customer, we were expecting better apologies.
Compensation and apologies were poor. We had to complain to be offered a 3-day trip and a refund of the difference + 10% discount which is better than nothing but still disappointing.
We are not sure whether the company is more interested in money or in customer satisfation. If the trip goes well we may post another (hopefully positive ?) feedback later on.
No, I would NOT recommend this business to a friend
